Painting Goddess – acrylic colour layers face – part 7

My name is Xanthe Wyse. I am a hobby painter who has had 2 solo art as therapy exhibitions. I like painting in vibrant colours usually with acrylics on canvas.

Demonstrating painting a goddess with the processing I do along the way with music. Processing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Also give lots of painting tips.

I paint moods not realism. Hence I chose bright colours (yellow for Xanthe, magenta for Miranda). Have been processing my name change to Miranda to Xanthe (from trauma).

LIstening to Serious (Duran Duran) on repeat which makes reference to a woman on fire. My goddess is called Devine (suggestion from someone else with bipolar disorder) and she is on fire. I listen to whatever song fits my mood and that comes out in expression.

I use Atelier Interactive Acrylics for the bright pigments and Reeves for the metallics. Used Liquitex acrylic inks for the underpainting stages.
