When going through a crisis it is common to lean on substances and behaviours to help get you through.

All too often, when the crisis is over, the dependency will still be there.

Unfortunately, this is what ruins your sense of self, relationships and your life. Or the crisis or trauma may not have ended and still be very much part of your life.

Whatever level of dependency to food, shopping, gambling, sex, the internet, drugs including prescription drugs, alcohol, tobacco etc. I can help you or someone you know.

Trauma is the response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event that can overwhelm your ability to cope.

It causes feelings of helplessness and may diminish your sense of self and your ability to feel the full range of emotions and experiences. You may feel empty, hostile or distrustful. When there is deep grief for the loss of self, a person, situation or country it can be earth shattering. Traumatic memories that haunt you with regular triggers are not only distressing but debilitating.

I can help you with all traumas small or large such as personal conflict, legal battles, a break-in, rape, violence, being held hostage, war and post-traumatic stress symptoms that may follow.
