Improvised dance to help manage bipolar disorder.



My name is Xanthe Wyse. Diagnosed bipolar type 1 disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety disorder.

Mood has been elevated past few weeks with a sleep crash and finally a big sleep. Music can elevate my mood temporarily as well as help me express. Which is how I do all my art.

Music is activating. Helps get me out of depressive episodes too.

Improvised dance is a fun way to exercise. I also dance-walk. Improvising my mental and physical fitness helps me to manage bipolar disorder & the processing of trauma (PTSD).
