How to Stay Level-Headed: Reacting vs. Responding!

Aaah! Are you human? Do you ever have regrets about your emotions getting in the way? Do you often find that stress, worry, anxiety, panic and anger often cloud not only your mind, but can take over & get in the way of who you truly are?

I’m human, too, so I’ve been there!

Like so many of you, I also have regrets, not only about how many times my PTSD has held me back due to my internal reactions, but also about some of the reactions I’ve had in heightened emotions relating to other people.
When things feel super serious, we can act in ways that don’t reflect who we truly are, especially in toxic situations. There can be shame, guilt & all the bad feels when everything settles.

Today, we’re chatting about understanding the difference between reacting & responding & how that can help us REIGN over situations that are triggering.

It isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being more mindful & aware. And, although I started picking up on this growing up, I never really understood just how powerful knowing the difference can be in terms of managing my stress and loving myself more until I began my healing journey with PTSD.

I was just so hard on myself and never knew it.

This helps me break free from that and feel more in control when triggered.

Stuff also rolls off my back MUCH easier when people aren’t so nice. Sweet!

Hope it helps you to!
