Our first episode of CPR for PTSD: How to Calm and Prevent Re-Alarm for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders! CPR for PTSD was developed by Drs. Betty Everett and Sacha McBain at the Center for Trauma Prevention, Recovery, and Innovation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
In this educational series, Dr. McBain will discuss trauma, trauma-related disorders, the impacts of traumatic stress, how to cope with symptoms of traumatic stress, and trauma-focused treatments.
In episode one, Dr. McBain reviews what trauma is, trauma-related disorders, and introduces deep breathing as a skill to reduce anxiety related to trauma.
