Child and Adolescent Posttraumatic Stress (PTSD)

Not all wounds of PTSD can be seen. Child abuse and neglect come in many different forms. Traumatic events such as a life threatening injury, a natual disaster, and death of a loved one can also cause PTSD in children. We commonly see children and teens suffer from PTSD who have been physically, verbally, sexually, and mentally abused. The result of PTSD has debilitating reprocussions on these children that will be carried over into adulthood if someone doesn’t reach out to help them. Public awearness is the only way we are going to make this possible. Step out and do your part. Help save a life!
