Charles Blow, Alicia Garza and Rashad Robinson on Black People’s Collective, Violent PTSD

Charles Blow opens up “Prime” discussing the latest mass shooting at a transportation facility in San Jose, Ca, on Wednesday.

Blow sits down with Alicia Garza, principal at Black Futures Lab and Rashad Robinson, president of Color of Change, about the post-traumatic stress disorder people face from COVID-19 and mass shootings.

“It’s important to have in mind what the root cause of that trauma is. We live in a society that’s deeply unequal and that s on purpose,” Garza says. “The reason that this trauma is so ongoing…we live in a society that’s organized by rules that have been rigged by so many of our communities.”
